Kindly note that should you fail to cancel your appointment on time and as per the provision above or if we are unable to gain access to your home to perform the service on the day/time of the appointment, you may incur a $50 cancellation fee. This is because we reserve our service providers’ time specifically for you and they are therefore notable to take other appointments for that time slot. Other than that, our service providers are professionals used to working in different environments. If your pet shows signs of aggression or behavior that prevents them from doing their job well, they will ask you to leave it in a cage or place where it will not hurt anyone.

Usually for recurrent services, we try to stick to the same day of the week, so that it’s easier for both the customer and the service provider to plan their time.

In the event that a furniture or a household appliance is damaged (scratched or broken) you have to report it within 24 hrs of the scheduled cleaning time. We will look into the matter to verify and establish if its really the cleaner who had caused the damage, and take appropriate actions to correct the situation.
Despite all the precautions, nobody is immune to accidents, which is why all service providers are required to have civil liability insurance.ProfiClean is also covered by one.
Yes, but just keep in mind that in this case you will be responsible in the event that any of the products damage the surfaces or do not perform too well. Also it’s important that such products and / or equipment are safe and do not pose any risks to the health and safety of the service providers.

Housekeeping services might be deductible in the following cases:
- Companies that can deduct them 100%

No, prices quoted do not include GST and QST. Taxes will be charged extra upon issuing of the invoice.
The only exception is where a commercial contract is assigned to a service provider who is considered a small supplier and who has the right not to charge GST and QST as per the tax laws. Only in that case the service provider will be able to issue a tax-free invoice.
For residential cleaning we accept credit cards, checks and PayPal and for commercial cleanings method of payment is to be agreed upon between the service provider and the business owner upon assignment of the contact. Usually payment for residential cleaning is by check, but other payment methods can usually be set-up too.
- For recurrent services: billing is monthly and payment is due within 5 days of receipt of the invoice;
- For one-time services: billing is per visit and is due immediately on the day of the appointment. In some cases pre-payment may be required.
Our service providers are vetted qualified professionals and as such possess their own cleaning materials and tools. Pricing we offer includes provision for the provider’s standard materials.
If you have any special requests, we can ensure use of special materials different than the standard ones used by the service provider. That however may involve extra charges due to possible differences in material prices.
You could also request that service providers use materials provided by you, but please take note that no discount will apply to the pricing even though you provide the materials.
- If your home has special care requirements (e.g. a particular product to be used for sensitive flooring), we strongly recommend you put this in notes when scheduling your appointment and provide your own products.
There are some solutions that allow you to enjoy our services without neglecting the security of your home. For example, you can schedule a disabling of your alarm’s signal during the scheduled visiting hours or create you may be able to create a special profile in your alarm system for the service provider. For more details, we would advise you to contact your alarm service provider.
If we do decide to leave you a key, what are the security measures taken to preserve the key to our residence?
In such case a main service provider will be assigned to your contract and the keys will be entrusted to this person. This service provider will sign a special acceptance form obliging him/her to keep the key safe to the best of her ability, not to identify the key in a way that could reveal the address it is for and to only use the key to enter your residence for scheduled visits (on dates and during times as agreed upon in advance). A copy of that written declaration will be given to you.
In the rare cases when your dedicated service provider is unavailable and not able to do a scheduled cleaning, the key may be given to ProfiClean.ca vetted professional. If this needs to be done, we will do our best to provide you with a pre-advice as soon as we become aware that your regular service provider is unavailable and the person that gets you key will sign the same written declaration.
- You or your representative need to be present for all one-time cleaning jobs with the exception of move-in/move-out cleaning.
- For regular recurrent service it’s up to you. You can choose to be there while the service is performed or you can choose to give the assigned service provider access to your home.
Commercial cleaning: services can be provided during or outside office hours depending on each business owner’s preference.
The better question is when would you like us to come. We are usually able to tailor our residential cleaning around your existing schedule, making it an easy and convenient solution.
Theoretically you could make that proposal, but in such case you will not benefit from the quality assurance, administrative and customer care services that ProfiClean.ca offers. Neither will you have access to our VIP member offers and benefits.
In addition, please note that the ProfiClean.ca uniqueness is mostly in the added value we provide to our service providers, so it is highly unlikely they would agree to take your contract directly anyway.
In addition, the service providers have a non-solicitation clause in their agreements, so they may be the ones in trouble if they accept such an offer.
Yes, we have different set-ups for residential and commercial cleaning. This is necessary both from business perspective as well as in order to ensure full compliance with the regulative requirements applicable to the two types of services.
- Residential cleaning is very personal experience and in a lot of cases involves frequent schedule adjustments as well as performance of additional services. For this reason, it is not feasible to guarantee that jobs will always be assigned to the same service provider. We strive to keep the same person assigned, but in case of schedule changes or special requests, we may need to send a team of two for example or send another service provider specializing in the service requested (window washing, duct cleaning, carpet washing, etc.).
In addition, the contact values in this sector are smaller, so in order to be able to help accept variety of payment methods, invoicing to customers is done by ProfiClean.ca to customers and then ProfiClean.ca manages the payout to service providers. This way customers can benefit from acceptance and automation of payment processing and service providers can benefit by ProfiClean.ca’s already established payment processing system. For commercial cleaning contracts ProfiClean.ca helps the clients that need cleaning or janitorial services to clarify exact specifications of what they need done. After that we do pricing and give the client an estimation. Once client accepts specs and pricing, we then search for best match amongst our service providers and assign that contract to one chosen service provider (i.e. we put the two parties in contact).
Absolutely, the more rare the visits, the more work our service provider will have and vice versa. For example, if your estimate is $ 80 to do your housekeeping every week, it is very likely that you will be charged $ 90 if you service is bi-weekly and at least $100 for monthly service.

This simply means that rates are not set per hour, but insteadthey are based on the size, the conditions, the frequency of housekeeping visits and the particularities of the residence. If after this re-clean, you are still dissatisfied, we will refund you.
NB: Please note you have 24 hrs period to report your complaint. We strongly advise that you check everything before the service provider leaves your place. We ask service providers to have you sign their checklists, that way if something isn’t done properly, you can point it out before they finish or you can note it on the checklist. Our service providers can then correct the situation right away. Should you fail to report any dissatisfaction within 24 hrs we no longer have any responsibility.
